Event Hierarchies from Evanios - ServiceNow Event Correlation Engine

Event Hierarchies

Use machine learning to maximize your IT human resources

Evanios’ rich correlation engine now includes the ability to automatically group similar events into actionable parent-child relationships called event hierarchies. IT support teams can use this feature to drastically reduce overall event and incident volume while immediately and effectively responding to alert floods.

Without hierarchical connections, support teams are left to drudge through events manually in order to determine which are most important, as well as where they should be spending their time.

Automating event hierarchies, on the other hand, reveals relationships and severity levels that take the guesswork out of resolution, while allowing operators to choose between automated resolution and/ or manual control of filtering and remediation.

The power of the platform

Because Evanios is built natively on the ServiceNow platform, it has an unparalleled level of event data available from the ITSM platform. We leverage this data to automate understanding of event relationships and impact while simplifying remediation.

Further, Evanios offers extensive flexibility, allowing the user to tune the logic with no code required.  Algorithms can be tuned around matching event fields, CI relationship distance, occurrence times and number of occurrences. Actions can also be triggered when hierarchies are created, allowing automation to run on the entire hierarchy instead of individual events.
